Graphic I Syllabus
This course will examine computer graphics concepts at an introductory level. Introduction to: file management, copyright ethics, mood boards, digital art, scanning and the use of a digital camera. Areas expanded include vector and raster graphics, typography, layout design, advertising & packaging and corporate identity. Photoshop CS3 and a variety of current graphic programs will be explored. Students are exposed to the many Career choices this area offers.
Graphic II Syllabus
This course will explore in-depth graphic design methods at an advanced level. Introduction to : illustrations, creative text, , story boards, layout, advertising, digital art and design. Skills in computer graphics programs will be further developed. A creative portfolio will be maintained using various multimedia presentations as well as a print copy.
Graphic Arts I & II classes qualify for Aurora's Tech Prep Program which offers Central Community College Credit for high school courses. If a student completes designated Tech Prep career and technical courses in high school, credit may be awarded at the community college level.
