Husky Diner
Every student needs lunch during the school
day. Research has shown that hungry children cannot
learn. A child with an empty stomach is lethargic, irritable,
and is not able to participate fully in learning experiences.
Good nutrition is critical to student achievement.

The Husky Diner and Husky Pup Diner use the
Lunch Cashier System which was written for use by schools
that serve daily hot meals to students. The system provides
complete management information about family meal accounts,
including receipts, charges made against accounts by students
or adults purchasing lunches or milk and auto automatic monitoring
of account balances. This system is a debit system,
which means that you deposit money into your family account
and as students/adults eat, the meal charge is deducted from
your account balance. You must have money in your account
in order to use it as the Aurora Public Schools has a no charging
policy.
Each family account has a three digit Family
ID number for deposits and each student has a four digit lunch
ID number to make purchases from the family account.
Each student will need to memorize their lunch ID number as
it will remain the same throughout their enrollment in the
Aurora Public Schools.
Families that qualify for free or reduced
price benefits must deposit money in their account if they
want their child(ren) to purchase any other food items other
than the one meal per day provided by the program.
