Aurora Elementary serves approximately
550 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Twenty-eight
classrooms teachers provide outstanding learning opportunities
to students in five sections of Kindergarten through 3rd grade
and four sections of 4th and 5th grade.
In addition to the regular curriculum for
each grade, formal art instruction is provided for students
in grades two through five with vocal music and physical education
being taught in all grades. Instrumental music is offered
to students in grade five.
This
is a training ground for our young Husky Pups as they learn
the value of education and the meaning of hard work. We have
3 main umbrella rules, which are Be Safe, Be Respectful and
Be Responsible. Students have the opportunity to be involved
in various activities designed
to develop young minds.
Mr. Mark Standage has been the elementary
principal since 2005. Working along side him is Assistant
Principal and Director of Special
Education, Mrs. Sally Carlson who has served in the position
since 2002.
